Just beside the entrance to Homer Tunnel was this huge chunk of ice that had fallen off the top of the mountain.


You can see the drips coming off the ice quickly as it sits in the sun. All the while, several people were climbing on top, throwing snowballs merrily... No fear of it collapsing though there were chunks to show the possibility - yikes!

Seeing the people standing below, you can get a feel for how large this hole in the ice is. The water had forced its way through from heavy rainfall.
